Lulu and the Winter of Content

September 6, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Lulu will be in Los Angeles before September is out; the heaviest layer she will be wearing this winter will most likely be her vintage Pendleton. But Lulu is a tried-and-true Chicagoan, and cannot help but anticipate the cold. Lulu knows how dreary it is to salute glorious summer goodbye, and begin purchasing for a very long, slushy six months – but fear not! Many years in the Midwest have taught Lulu that the cold can, indeed, be overcome.

For a winter of content, there is no house more suitable than Malo, Italian creator of luxurious cashmere knitwear. Lulu has pictured her favorite piece above: a slouchy, furry, three-quarter-length-sleeve’d sweater which reminds her both of a barbarian’s pelt and of a flapper’s favorite pullover. For those of you surviving in the cruel Northern places, Lulu recommends a visit to Malo’s official homepage, or directly to an image of the sweater Lulu has mentioned (you have to sit through a slideshow of one or two other images, but you’ll know it when you see it.)

Malo also carries attractive sweaters for men!

To make up for Lulu’s shameless smirking about moving away from the cold, click on this thumbnail for a photo from this previous winter of a very chilly Lulu:
